Cook Islands Map

There are currently no large cruise operators operating in Cook Islands who offer on-board accommodation and cruising.

There are, however, a number of day tour cruise operators - principally in the beautiful lagoon of Aitutaki. If you plan on holidaying at Aitutaki, don't forget to take a lagoon cruise. Explore this fantastic lagoon, enjoy lunch on one of the motu (small islets), sunbathe on the sandbars, and experience excellent snorkelling along the edge of the reef.

On the main island of Rarotonga, there are some glass bottom boat trips around Muri Beach area. Also, some of the larger resorts on Rarotonga arrange cruises, whale-watching boat trips, fishing trips and dive charters.

The lagoon at Ngatangiia on Rarotonga is a popular spot for sailing catamarans and sailboards. There are also many visiting sailboats and yachts, and a yacht marina is found in the capital of Avarua at Avatiu Harbour. Avarua is a small, friendly town, with shops, banks, businesses, museum, and cafes/
